Pianos, gym equipment, appliances, vending machines, and vehicle transport. Heavy, awkward items moved on the right equipment by a crew that plans the route before anything is lifted.
Some items can’t be carried out on a dolly. Heavy, fragile, valuable, an awkward shape, or all four at once: these are the pieces people worry about for weeks before a move, and the ones most likely to go wrong when someone improvises.
Pianos, gym equipment, appliances, and vending machines each have their own page below, because each is a different job with its own method. Heavy transport covers cars, golf carts, forklifts, and pallets. Lab and clinic equipment, commercial kitchen units, tool chests, and shop machinery start here too. Fine art, collections, and antiques have their own section under custom crating.
The approach is the same regardless. We look at what makes it difficult, whether that’s the weight, the value, the fragility, or the doorway it barely fits through, then plan the route before anything is lifted, protect both the item and the building it has to pass through, and bring enough crew that nobody is improvising halfway down a staircase. If we can’t do it safely, we’ll tell you and point you at whoever can.

Anything where the usual two-people-and-a-dolly approach is the wrong answer. That’s normally because of weight, value, fragility, awkward shape, or the fact that it doesn’t fit through a door assembled. Pianos, gym equipment, appliances, and vending machines are common enough that each has its own page; everything else is worth a conversation.
The same way as our other local work, by crew size and hours, with the crew and equipment sized to the item. Weight, stairs, doorway clearance, and how far the truck can park from the door are what move the number. Send those details and photos if you have them, and the quote comes back in writing.

Ask. Most of what people assume is too strange turns out to be a normal day, and we’ll name the few things we don’t handle rather than take the job and improvise. Our guide on what movers will and won’t move covers the usual exclusions.
