Paintings & canvases
Surface protected, corners guarded, and crated so nothing touches the canvas.
Based in Santa Clara, CADaily · 7am–6pm
Paintings, framed prints, mirrors, and sculpture packed in crates built to each piece, for moves and deliveries across San Jose and the Bay Area.
Art gets damaged in a move in a few predictable ways. Glass breaks when a frame flexes. A canvas gets punctured by the corner of something else in the truck. A sculpture snaps at its thinnest point because someone carried it by the part that looked strongest. A crate built to the piece removes most of that risk: nothing can press on the surface, the frame can’t flex, and the piece can’t shift inside.
Framed work and canvases are wrapped to protect the surface, given corner protection, and closed into a crate sized to the frame. Sculpture is padded and braced so its fragile parts carry no weight. Large mirrors and glass-fronted pieces are crated the same way as paintings, because the glass is what breaks.
Art can travel as part of a home move or as its own job. Not every piece needs a crate, and we’ll tell you which ones do and which travel fine in blankets.

No. Sturdy frames without glass often travel well wrapped and padded. Crating is worth it for glass-fronted work, valuable or irreplaceable pieces, large canvases, and sculpture. Send photos and we’ll tell you which pieces need it.
The surface is covered with a material that won’t stick to it, the corners are protected, and the piece is padded inside a crate sized to the frame so it can’t shift or flex. The crate is marked for orientation and stays upright on the truck.
Yes. Sculpture is padded and braced inside a crate so the fragile parts, like an arm or a base, don’t take any load. Tell us the weight and material when you book, because stone and bronze need a bigger crew than resin or wood.
Yes. One crated painting or a handful of pieces can be their own job, moved across town or delivered elsewhere in the Bay Area.
Every move includes standard basic valuation coverage, and additional protection options are available. For high-value pieces, tell us what they’re worth when you book and we’ll go over the coverage details with you when we quote.
